This is a Guest Post from Susan, from Susan’s Disney Family, who attended this event in my place.

This past Sunday I had the opportunity to have a  night of award-winning cuisine at Sbraga, and  experience and test-drive the all-new 2014 Cadenza premium sedan. A premium sedan from Kia? I know what many of you may think, Kia only carried economy cars right? No Kia is so much more than just economy cars! Kia also has a line of luxury vehicles that have all of the bells and whistles you could ever want in a high end car costing from $36,000 to $40,000+.  the all new Kia Cadenza and let me tell you this isn’t your average run of the mill car the Cadenza is an experience! I admit I’m not the biggest gear head in the world I know what cars are here for and some basic knowledge but that’ about it. Thankfully between Charles our test drive host and my husband I’ve been clued in on what I need to know and I know the Kia Cadenza is a luxury car with a not so luxury price.

Kia and Open Table have partnered together and it gives us an opportunity to showcase the amazing Spraga restaurant and the 2014 Kia Cadenza http://www.kia.com/worldwide/vehicles/cadenza/product.aspx , the brand’s most powerful and technologically-advanced vehicle Kia has ever introduced in North America.  My husband, Bobby was the lucky test driver, while I was the comfortable tweeting/instagramming back seat driver that night.

Kia Cadenza Experience

From first glance you notice the nice style lines the Cadenza has, my first impression was this car can’t be cheap! It looks expensive and it’s appointed as such but you don’t have to sweat the price. You get all the luxury appointments you’d expect from a high end car such as a 290 horsepower engine, leather interior (with heated and air conditioned seats, my husband fell in love with the air conditioned seats he wouldn’t shut up about it!), dual sun roof which is really nice, all digital gauge’s, the compass for the GPS was located right in the middle of the gauge cluster so you’re not having to look away from the road it’s right there in front of you making it easier to use when you need a little help getting to point B from point A. The media center was nice and along with being you’re GPS unit it’s also a place to store audio on the 10 gig hard drive or if you’re a iPod used just plug it into the media center and have access to all your songs.

Kia Cadenza Experience

I enjoyed the spacious and roomy back seat, our current car has a miniature uncomfortable back seat that I hate to ride in, but the Kia was an entirely different world, it was a supple leather paradise with room to stretch out and drive in comfort and style.

Bobby was told to drive the car like it’s his own and to not be afraid to open it up. He gunned the gas a few times but since we were driving around Center City Philadelphia you really can’t open it up like on a highway but still he was impressed by the power and the handling. He said the car feels nimble and responsive and was a pleasure to drive. A great driving car with wood accents, supple leather, roomy and comfortable interior and a stylish exterior are what you have come to expect from BMW and Mercedes, well Kia is about to blow their tires off with the Cadenza. All the bells and whistles without the inflated price tag. Get everything you want in a car and have a few bucks left over.

Kia Cadenza Experience

After our fun test drive we were treated to the red carpet treatment, being whisked from the car to a cute photo shoot on the red carpet. Then our dining experience began at Spraga. Spraga in Philadelphia  has been given a food rating of 27 by Zagat, Sbraga is a modern American restaurant located on Philadelphia’s lively Avenue of the Arts.  Spraga features made from scratch food, we were treated to a three course gourmet luxurious meal. This was a classy restaurant, that would make a great special evening even more so.

Our three course meal started my husband and I started with the same first course the,

Pork Belly, topped with chili oil sea lettuce and cucumber

I have to be honest, I had never had pork belly prior to this night and I did not know what to expect… but this was much more amazing than I could have imagined! The pork belly had a nice spice, and was almost buttery it just melted in your mouth.. amazing. One of the best appetizers I have ever had,.. ever. And that is saying something, my husband and I are foodies and we have eaten at many many great establishments and this was the tops.

My second course

Pappardelle, potatoes fava beans and Jalapeno

Bobby’s second course:

From Sbraga, Roast Pork, provolone bread pudding, long hots

The meals were amazing fresh and spiced perfectly. We enjoyed all that Spraga had to offer, and we were quite full when it came to the third course… But what is a great meal without dessert, so we had to make sure we tried some.

My third course:

From Sbraga, Cherries Jubilee, Szechuan ice cream

Curry Tapocia, berries and citrus

Overall we were so very happy with this restaurants unique selection and amazing eats.  If you are in the Avenue of the Art’s area in Center City Philadelphia, I would highly suggest checking out Sbraga. Their food is simply amazing, handmade and unique. Owner Chef Kevin Sbraga prepares inventive, seasonal fare with a focus on local and sustainable ingredients.

And if you are in the market for a new car, why not give Kia luxury a chance, you will be impressed with all of the features and will fall in love with Kia, I know we did.
